Beech Street Bridge Rehabilitation
The scope of work for the Albert Street Bridge consisted of, but not limited to; project planning and management, pedestrian controls, erosion sediment controls, pedestrian hoarding, working from scaffold and ariel lift, repair to deck drainpipes, concrete repairs to underside of bridge including removals and reinstatement to soffits, columns and abutment walls by way of patching, forming and pumping. The scope of work for the Beech Street Bridge consisted of, but not limited to; project planning and management, traffic control, pedestrian controls, erosion sediment controls and hoarding, structural concrete repairs to the entire structure including removals and reinstatement to soffits, walls, abutments, beams, bridge deck, sidewalks and curbs. Bird netting was also installed. Beech Street bridge deck structure work included; removal of asphalt to expose the concrete deck for inspection, structural repairs to concrete deck including reinstatement of the concrete shelf below the expansion joints and complete expansion joint replacement.
Downtown Ottawa Manhole Rehabiliation
National Capital Contracting Incorporated (NCCI) was awarded this project from the client (City of Ottawa) to complete removals of existing structures, perform concrete repairs, excavation for installation of new rescue access manhole and fabrication, delivery and installation of new FRP structural platforms, ladders and guardrails. Project spanned across 6 locations in the city consisting of 4 deep manholes and 2 large diameter collector shafts
Richmond Road Interior 4 Level Parking Garage Concrete Repairs
National Capital Contracting Incorporated (NCCI) was contracted to perform repairs to the parking garage structure. The following is a list work completed by NCCI, but not limited to; Soffit, wall, column , surface concrete repairs, through slab concrete repairs , vertical repairs, structural beams repairs and structural crack injection. Part of the work also required new floor drains re-apply waterproof traffic topping membrane and asphalt paving.
3 Level Parking Garage Concrete Slab Removals & Reinstatements
National Capital Contracting Incorporated (NCCI) was awarded this project to complete necessary and overdue repairs to an aging sanitary & storm combined system for the parking garage and apartment building. The following is a list work completed by NCCI, but not limited to; Saw cutting of concrete floor, concrete removals (type a) deep excavation, shoring, installation of sump pits on an active line, backfilling and compaction. Install dowels with epoxy, reinstatement of concrete slab, curing of concrete. Full traffic and pedestrian on the active parking garage while the work was being completed.
Overpass Renewal Hunt Club Road
Awarded to National Capital Contracting Incorporated (NCCI) in August 2019 to complete minor repairs to the Hunt Club Transitway overpass. The contracted work includes, but not limited to; minor deck, soffit and fascia concrete removals & reinstatement, deck joint assembly modification to the end wall & expansion joint to accommodate a new drain system, joint seal cleaning & clamping bar replacement, MSE wall replacement (3), routing and sealing, barrier wall repairs and asphalt repairs .
Lycee Claudel Transit Station Repairs
Awarded to National Capital Contracting Incorporated (NCCI) in August 2018 to facilitate and complete the exterior construction of a 21 meter, 3 tier structural pedestrian ramp, exterior concrete repairs to the transit platform, 2 level stair/platform replacement, storm/sanitary sewer installation, expansion joint replacement, steel curb/stamped concrete and traffic topping in the station and ramp. The original scope of work for the project was for the construction of a new pedestrian ramp to facilitate minor concrete repairs, sanitary sewer "repair", tunnel/bridge joint replacement and new traffic topping in the entire station/pedestrian ramp. Once the contracted work commenced, it was determined that the existing sewer services (cast pipe) had deteriorated and in some instances, disintegrated and had failed. The scope of the additional work to the contract included, but not limited to; new 87 m of sanitary/storm services in the station and electrical modifications and general station renewal.
OC Transpo Pinecrest Interior Concrete Repairs
National Capital Contracting Incorporated (NCCI) was contracted to provide full Project Management, Contract Management, and construction work for the completion of the entire project. Due to the facility being occupied daily by over 200 employees as well as over 100 buses and service vehicles during peak hours at the time of construction, the work schedule was coordinated with the client building supervisor to have a minimal impact on daily operations. A comprehensive dust protective enclosure was constructed around the entire work area as well as covering for the work zone ventilation system was required.
Bridlewood & Craighenrey ICD Installations
National Capital Contracting Incorporated (NCCI) was awarded this project from the client (City of Ottawa) to complete installations of 1075 inlet control devices (ICD), 1032 maintenance hole cover replacements and installations of 54 rear yard catch basin (RYCB) flow control chambers behind curb and 15 RYCB flow control chambers in the road. the following is a list work completed by NCCI, but not limited to; Submission and execution of traffic and pedestrian control plans that pertain to collector and arterial roads, signalized intersections and bus lanes; Submission and execution of a confined space policy, confined space entry policy and all safety related measures required to enter a catch basin (exp. recovery method, gas monitoring and adequate training on equipment); Installation of slide type ICD's and plug type ICD's in round and square catch basins; Replacement of maintenance hole and catch basin covers as well as installation of RYCB flow control chambers.
Sarsfeild Road Bridge Culvert Replacement
National Capital Capital Contracting (NCCI) was contracted to assist with the successful completion of the project in 2017. National Capital Contracting Incorporated (NCCI) provided Project Management, Contract Management and completed multiple construction tasks for this project. The following is a list of the work completed by NCCI, but not limited to; Project Management, full traffic-pedestrian controls, ESC (design and implementation), coordination of the professional services outlined in D-23-B (8 professional services listed, 10 professional services in total), earth work removals including the diversion excavation and structure removals. NCCI provided and completed all concrete related works including, but not limited to mud slabs, footings, abutment walls, mass concrete, bridge deck, retaining walls, wing walls
Tunney's Pasture Bus Gate Structure
National Capital Contracting Incorporated was awarded the supply and delivery of 1 large pre fabricated fare gate and 1 fare vending machine structures. The full project scope of work involved, but not limited to; Full traffic control adjacent to an active transitway, pedestrian controls, excavation, concrete foundation/pad, electrical conduits precisely located and installed for the fare gate and vending machines, supply and install the pre fabricated structures, chain link fencing and relevant reinstatements
Old Montreal Road Culvert Rehabilitation

Mackenzie King Bridge Rehabilitation
At present, Mackenzie Kink Bridge (MKB) is a major arterial throughway into and out of the downtown core with over 41,600 +/_ pedestrians and 4,230 +/_buses passing on the bridge daily. The Rideau Center, DND, NAC, NCC, PWGSC, OC Transpo and the City of Ottawa all have had an interest and say in the bridge work that was completed. The MKB spans 489 m from Elgin St. to Nicholas St. and is an overpass to Nicholas St., Queen Elizabeth, Colonal By, Laurence Freeman Drives (LFD), Rideau Canal waterway/pathways and the NAC garages, offices and mechanical rooms. National Capital Contracting Incorporated (NCCI) was retained by IDC to provide full Project Management, Contract Management and construction work for the completion of the entire project.
